Rediscovering The Glorious Gospel


The cross of Christ is the one irrefutable expression of God's love. It was at the cross that God opened wide His heart to us and said, "I love you." It is only through the gospel, however, that we "hear" God say that to us. So if we want to draw closer to God and experience a deeper relationship with Him, we must rediscover the grandeur of the gospel and keep it before us each day of our lives.

Costly Grace


Cheap grace means grace as a doctrine, a principle, a system. It means forgiveness of sins proclaimed as a general truth, the love of God taught as the Christian "conception" of God. An intellectual assent to that idea is held to be of itself sufficient to secure remission of sins...
[Costly grace] is costly because it costs a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life. It is costly because it condemns sin, and grace because it justifies the sinner.
